This endowed scholarship was established with a donation from Ocean Waters Investments LLC, the leading Daytona Beach hotel management and resort development company. Alumnus Charles A. Bray, MS '77 is a principal with the privately-held hospitality ownership and management which specializes in redeveloping and renovating waterfront properties and transforming them into luxury hotel and condominium resorts.
Eligibility Criteria for the Ocean Waters Hospitality Management Scholarship:

Full-time students enrolled in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University who are seeking an undergraduate (minimum of twelve credit hours) or graduate (minimum of nine credit hours) degree in the field of hospitality management.

Full-time students with a Grade point average of 3.0 or better (on an A = 4.0 scale) at FIU, or, if newly enrolled at FIU, at prior institutions attended.

U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
Recipients will be chosen principally on the basis of academic performance or potential, involvement in school activities and previous relevant work experience.
Scholarships may be renewed provided that the recipients maintain the eligibility criteria and make satisfactory progress toward a degree.
