Scholarship Selection Criteria for the Randal B. Greene Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

The Randal B. Greene Memorial Scholarship will be awarded each August to a student selected by the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Scholarship Selection Committee. The Committee will submit two finalists for the award to the Greene family who will make the final selection. The $1,000 award will be provided in two $500 payments and shall be used toward the student’s tuition costs only. The student must maintain a 2.5 GPA in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management in order to qualify for the second semester’s award. The criteria used for selection follow:

Criteria:

  1. Undergraduate degree-seeking majors in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management with junior or senior standing; or degree-seeking graduate students;
  2. U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States;
  3. Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0=A scale).

Other Factors:

  1. Other criteria such as financial need, gender, or race shall not influence the selection of the recipient.
