Jay Litt serves as Senior Vice President Operations, The Eastern Region,
responsible for leadership of 51 hotels and resort operations on the Eastern
Coast of the United States and Caribbean. He was named to the position in
August of 2002.
Mr. Litt brings more than 32 years of experience in hotel operations to his
role. Prior to his present position, Mr. Litt led the resort group of Wyndham
and spent three years as the Chief Procurement Officer for the company. During
his seven-year tenure at Interstate Hotels, Mr. Litt served in a variety of
positions, from General Manager to Senior Vice President of Operations,
overseeing the sales and marketing and food and beverage departments for the
company. He held a six-year post as president of RJF Hotels, Inc., a private
management and consulting company with hotels in South Beach and Orlando, Fla.
For the 12 years prior, he worked in a variety of hotel management positions
for the Sheraton Corporation of America.
Mr. Litt holds a B.S. in hospitality management from Florida International
University in Miami and a B.A. in sociology from Parsons College in Fairfield,
Iowa. He served two years as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corp.
