Biography

Eunju Suh, PhD, an Assitant Professor of Hospitality Management at the Florida International University teaches courses on casino marketing, hospitality marketing and research methods. She earned a master s and a doctorate in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to joining FIU, she was a Sr. Gaming Analyst with The Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino, Las Vegas, where she was involved in marketing and operations analyses for the strategic marketing department. Previous experience includes direct marketing and loyalty marketing at several major hotel casinos in Las Vegas.

Her most recent complete research endeavor is entitled Estimating the Impact of Entertainment on Gaming Volume of Las Vegas Hotel Casinos . Currently, Dr. Suh is investigating and examing the indirect effects of other casino amenities such as poker rooms, entertainment and other miscellaneous venues on gaming revenues. As more casinos adjust their marketing positioning to that of full-service resorts, results from this research will aid casino management in optimizing the profit generated from the casino floor space.
