HFT 3210 
Fundamentals of Management in the Hospitality Industry

A basic course in general management concepts and practices to acquaint the student with theories and principles of organization, the tools of managerial decision-making, and the management process with particular reference to the hospitality industry. Case studies are used.

HFT 3727
Travel Industry Law

Legal Strategies, tactics, and principles for the multi-faceted travel industry. Covers applicable statutes, regulations, cases and international agreements.

HFT 6299
Case Studies in Hospitality Management

Case studies are used to analyze and integrate the various disciplines of hospitality management and the visitor industry. A critical attitude toward all administrative and management thought is encouraged. The course includes a seminar on breakthrough service.

Biography

Professor Donald G. Rosellini did his undergraduate work in Economics and majored in International Business and Law at the graduate level, earning a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University.

Management experience includes directing a large sales force and the overall responsibility for the international operations of a Fortune 500 company.

Professor Rosellini has traveled the world and lived abroad for 17 years. He speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian and is conversant in French.

Professor Rosellini directed a high-tech startup, a company called Acquanautics, that specialized in oxygen scavenging technology. The company was listed on the small-cap Nasdaq and was later acquired by WR Grace.

Post-graduate studies include the Advanced Management Program offered by the Pan American Institute for Advanced Management, a seminar in Hotel feasibility at Cornell, and management seminars at the Northwestern.
